Born through a partnership with Sheraton Addis, a Luxury Collection Hotel in 2014, the show was founded with a clear vision: to elevate emerging Ethiopian bag designers whose exquisite creations, crafted from Ethiopia’s renowned leather, embodied creativity, craftsmanship, and modernity.

THE 2026 BAG SHOW
Hosted in the prestigious Lalibela Ballroom of the Sheraton Addis, the 2026 Bag Show redefined “Made in Ethiopia” luxury. The evening commenced with a masterfully choreographed parade of over 130 handcrafted designs, followed by a high-energy auction. Between the vibrant soundtrack and the spirited bidding for one-of-a-kind designer pieces, the event was a true landmark of professional glamour and local craftsmanship.

Beyond its celebration of design and innovation, ‘The Bag Show’ has consistently demonstrated a commitment to giving back. Each edition has contributed vital funds to support Our Father’s Kitchen, a local charity operating under HIDO, which runs a vital welfare feeding program for children in need.
