A Celebration of Giving and Culture
The Diplomatic Charity Bazaar in Ethiopia is an annual event that unites local and international communities through generosity and cultural exchange. Organized by the Diplomatic Spouses Group of Ethiopia (DSGE), this event raises essential funds for Project Matrix, a subgroup of DSGE committed to supporting Ethiopia’s most vulnerable populations. The funds support local initiatives in health, education, poverty alleviation, and the empowerment of women and children.
All participating embassies, international organizations, missions, and NGOs donate 100% of the profits from the sale of their goods and products at the bazaar. Historically held in embassy compounds and later at the Millennium Hall, the event has recently partnered with UNECA for its venue.

The DSGE Charity Bazaar is a vibrant hub of cultural exchange
featuring booths from around the world. Embassies showcase traditional handicrafts, artwork, clothing, jewelry, and other products representing their respective countries. Visitors can enjoy a mini world tour through Asian spices, European food items, African and Indian textiles, South American trinkets, and much more.
In addition to the diverse marketplace, the event features performances from various countries, including traditional dances, live music, and theatrical acts. Delicious national dishes and drinks further enrich the cultural experience, offering attendees a taste of global flavors.
